Thompson shined in her eighth career start and plated three crucial insurance runs for Troy (35-14), going 2-for-4 at the plate with three RBIs and her first career triple.
In similar fashion as the night before, Troy struck first when monstered a long ball over the left-center wall, this time a two-run shot.
