South Alabama on Thursday announced the hiring of Brad Phillips as the school's new pitching coach.
Phillips joins the Jaguars from Troy, where he had served in the same capacity since 2010. He replaces Bob Keller, whose contract was not renewed at the end of the 2017 season.
"Brad has been an assistant at a very successful program, and he has had a lot of success," South Alabama coach Mark Calvi said. "I have had a chance to admire his work the last eight years being here at South Alabama. His pitching staffs were always well-prepared, and those guys went into that program and got better.
