TROY – Kaleb Barker was stiff and sore Sunday and Monday – and he loved it.
“It’s honestly what I’ve been hoping for since high school. I kind of missed being sore for a couple days after a game,” Troy’s quarterback said Monday after making his first collegiate start against Boise State last Saturday.
There were a lot of factors that contributed to Troy’s 56-20 loss. Barker’s performance wasn’t one of them. Troy coach Neal Brown went over every frame of the opener and gave his quarterback high marks in his debut.
“He was on point, by my calculation, on 25 of the 29 passes he attempted.
