The homestanding Trojans only hit three of its last 15 shots in the second half, leading to just 26 points in the final period in a 67-61 loss to Little Rock. Little Rock (12-1 overall, 2-0 Sun Belt Conference) entered the game limiting opponents to 36.7 percent from the floor, and Troy fared worse – shooting 34.5 percent for the game – thanks to the last cold streak.
“We knew coming in they were one of the best defensive teams in the country, holding teams to about 55 points a game, and in the first half, we did a good job of executing our game plan,” Troy guard Wesley Person said.
