COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – It was a back-and-forth affair Saturday afternoon from a hostile environment at the Hooper Ebler Center that saw Troy battle back from seven points down in the second half to win 75-72.
"That was a very hard-fought win," head coach Scott Cross said. "We knew it was going to be tough. But, I'm very pleased with how our guys responded and battled. I'm thankful we get to come home for two games and get back to work."
The Trojans (6-4) saw Nick Stampley lead the way as he finished with 13 points and 11 rebounds for his first double-double of the season.
