PEACHTREE CITY, Georgia – No. 1 Troy women's tennis (9-11) dropped its semifinal matchup to No. 4 South Alabama 4-1 on Saturday in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament. The Trojans earned a one-seed in the tournament for the first time in program history.
South Alabama entered the match with the best record in the conference at 19-3 after defeating UT Arlington in the quarterfinals 4-1 on Friday.
The Jaguars earned the doubles point early, taking two of the three matches, with a 6-2 win on court one and a 6-0 in on court three.
