TROY, Alabama – Fresh off a school-record setting performance, Troy senior Sarah Harrison has been named the Sun Belt Conference Women's Golfer of the Week, the league office announced Thursday afternoon.
Harrison fired a 6-under 65 in Monday's second round of the Spring Break Shootout to tie Fátima Fernández Cano for the lowest round in school history and the lowest score vs. par in school history.
Her round is the lowest in the Sun Belt this season and tied for the 14th lowest in the country. Harrison carded eight birdies in the round and made the turn with a remarkable 5-under 30 on her card.
