Boise State four-year starting quarterback Brett Rypien threw for 276 yards and four touchdowns in the first half as the No. 22 Broncos (1-0) throttled the Trojans 56-20 at Veterans Memorial Stadium. The Rypien-led Boise offense was extremely sharp on third downs, converting 7 of 8 in the first half alone.
