TROY, Alabama- Troy senior kicker Ryan Kay was named Sun Belt Special Teams Player of the Week for the second time this season following his strong performance on Saturday as the Trojans defeated Georgia State 31-21.
Kay, a graduate student from Jonesboro, Ga., was a perfect three-for-three on field goals against the Panthers and accounted for Troy's first nine points of the game. He is 11-13 on the season and has hit eight straight attempts. Kay has now hit 22 of 29 field goals in his career, which ranks ninth in the Troy all-time record books.
