Chip Lindsey, a former Troy assistant who was Auburn’s offensive coordinator the last two seasons, is reportedly returning to the Trojans.
Lindsey is expected to be named Troy’s next head coach, according to both ESPN and Football Scoop.
Attempts to reach Lindsey — at phone numbers independently provided by multiple coaches — were unsuccessful Wednesday night. Troy athletic director Jeremy McClain did not immediately return a message.
Lindsey spent the 2010 season as the quarterbacks coach on coach Larry Blakeney’s staff at Troy. The 44-year-old left Auburn last month to become the offensive coordinator at Kansas.
