Troy senior Hunter Reese sat at a table during the Sun Belt Media Day in New Orleans on July 23 and flashed his conference championship ring for a reporter to capture the image.
His career has been quite remarkable in going from a walk-on out of Wetumpka High School to now being considered a team leader and one of the top defensive players in the Sun Belt Conference.
“I think it’s a blessing to be recognized like that,” said Reese, a preseason first team All-Sun Belt selection. “I’ve always believed in myself, but just to hear people say that about me is just a blessing.
