TROY, Alabama – After putting up astronomical numbers this past week, Troy's Hannah Day has been named the Sun Belt Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
Day hit .812 (13-for-16) with 20 RBIs, six home runs and three doubles over a four-game stretch last week. She slugged 2.125, posted an .842 on-base percentage and scored 12 runs as the Trojans won all four contests to improve to 21-7 on the season.
The Crestview, Fla., native went 5-for-5 with three home runs, two doubles and nine RBIs in game two of the series at Appalachian State.
