Freshman speedster Jabir Frye returned the opening kickoff more than 95 yards for a score, and the Troy defense returned two interceptions for touchdowns in the Trojans’ final scrimmage before the season starts on Sept. 3.
The plays highlighted a day filled with the good, the bad and the ugly as the Trojans concluded their “fall camp” season. Some key offensive players missed the scrimmage, perhaps an explanation for the defense’s quick start.
