TROY — Jabir Frye opened the second half with a 100-yard kickoff return, highlighting Troy’s 52-6 win over New Mexico State on Saturday.

Frye also blocked a second-quarter punt that Demetrius Cain returned 15 yards for a touchdown.

Frye’s return — the sixth 100-yard kickoff return in school history — gave the Trojans (3-1) a 38-0 lead. Troy is off to its best four-game start since 2000.

Brandon Silvers was 23-of-32 passing for 246 yards and two scores, plus had a 1-yard TD run, for the Trojans.

Emanuel Thompson pulled in a 6-yard TD pass and Sidney Davis a 17-yarder from Silvers.
