Quick recap: Troy Trojans 31, Georgia State 21

TROY — Troy scored on 25 straight second-half points to take control in a 31-21 victory over Georgia State on Saturday.

The Trojans (5-1, 2-0 Sun Belt) trailed 14-6 late in the third quarter.

They pulled within five on a 28-yard Ryan Kay field goal before a successful onside kick that led to a 3-yard go-ahead Jordan Chunn touchdown run. John Johnson’s two-point conversion run gave Troy a 17-14 lead with 1:08 left in the third quarter.

Brandon Silvers found Josh Anderson for a 15-yard touchdown pass and Deondre Douglas for a 29-yard score.

The Douglas touchdown was one play after Troy linebacker Demetrius Cain intercepted a pass and gave the Trojans a 31-14 lead.
