TROY, Alabama – Senior smashed a walk-off single to push Troy past South Alabama, 4-3, in the Senior Day series finale Saturday afternoon at the Troy Softball Complex.
series-winning single marks the first time since 2009 that the Trojans (37-18, 19-8 Sun Belt) have swept South Alabama (18-31, 7-20) and sends Troy into the Sun Belt Conference tournament as the second seed.
Troy's 19 conference wins is the best league record in program history.
The Jaguars got on the board first with a two-run home run by Kennedy Cronan in the top of the first inning.
