TROY – Troy head coach Neal Brown called it a “program win,” but he knew there were some tremendous individual performances in the Trojans’ 26-16 homecoming victory over Louisiana on Saturday at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
Running back B.J. Smith gained 103 yards on 22 carries and scored a touchdown. He set a school record with his fifth straight 100-yard rushing performance in a row.
Quarterback Sawyer Smith completed 18 of 22 passes for 317 yards in his third start.
Linebacker Troy Folsom recorded his second straight game of double-digit tackles.
And receiver Damion Willis dominated the game with 10 catches for 213 yards, including a 75-yard touchdown that broke a 3-all tie midway through the first quarter.
