LOUISVILLE, Kentucky – The No. 63 Troy men's tennis team started strong and won the doubles point, but couldn't hold on in a 4-1 loss to No. 36 Louisville on the indoor courts of the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
Pablo Moreno and Mustapha Belcora started the day with a 6-3 win at No. 3 doubles. After Louisville's nationally-ranked doubles team won at No. 1 doubles, Andy Lau and Giovani Samaha clinched the opening points for Troy with a 6-3 win at No. 1 doubles.
The Cardinals got out to a fast start in singles play, winning the first set in five of six matches.
