TROY, Alabama – After having a career weekend, Troy softball player Khadija Neely has been named the Sun Belt Student-Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
Neely hit .500 (6-for-12) with six RBIs, three home runs and three singles in the series win at UT Arlington this past weekend. She slugged 1.250, posted a .538 on-base percentage and scored five runs as the Trojans took two games of the three-game series to improve to 30-20 on the season.
The Roanoke, Ala., native went 4-for-7 in the doubleheader on Saturday with three home runs and six RBIs.
