MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Behind career game and two runs in the top of the ninth inning, the Trojans knocked off the No. 3 seed Coastal Carolina 6-4 in Friday morning's quarterfinal matchup from Riverwalk Stadium.
Troy (32-23) will now play the winner of Georgia Southern, Appalachian State, on Saturday, May 28, at 3 p.m. This is the first semi-final appearance since 2018. Trojan fans are invited to a semi-final social prior to the first pitch in the Club Car Bar. Appetizers will be served with beverages available for purchase.
In a 4-4 game, in the top of the ninth, three straight singles with two outs gave the Trojans a 6-4 lead that they would hold onto in order to advance.
