TROY, Ala. – The Troy men's tennis team earned their second-straight Sun Belt Conference win with its 4-0 victory over Georgia Southern on Friday. With the shutout victory, Troy improved to 18-2 overall and 2-1 in conference play.
The morning got started with a highly contest battled for the all-important doubles point. After Troy got a quick, 6-2 victory on court two from Christopher Tasker and Nicolas Simkin, the duo's sixth straight win in doubles, things began to heat up. Troy and Georgia Southern (10-8, 0-2 SBC) went back-and-forth on courts one and three before Troy was able to get the victory from Carles Anton and Amer Bedwan on court three, 7-5.
