CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The Troy men's tennis picked up its first victory of the spring with a 5-2 victory over Binghamton at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center on the Miami campus Sunday afternoon.
The Trojans (1-1) breezed to the doubles point, winning 6-2 on all three courts and clinched the match with Vito Llinares' 6-2, 7-5 win over Andrew Fang on court six in singles. Llinares teamed up with newcomer to the roster, Jules Fabre, to win in doubles as well.
Yeray Andres Pastor gave the Trojans a 2-0 lead with easy work on court four, winning by counts of 6-1, 6-1, while fellow freshman Mario Martinez Serrano won on the top court, 7-5, 6-4, to give the Trojans a 3-1 advantage.
