PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. – Troy shot a school-record 12-under par in Tuesday's second round of the Golfweek/AGT Intercollegiate to grab a 9-stroke lead with one round to play. All five Trojans shot under-par on the day as they combined for 22 birdies and just eight bogeys.
Troy's 12-under par ties program-record for the lowest score relative to par (2009 FSU Spring Break Invitational); the school record for the lowest score in a round is a 273 (-11) on a par-71 course at the Sam Hall Intercollegiate.
The Trojans entered the day in third place but were eight shots better than anyone else in the field and enter Wednesday's final round with a 9-shot advantage over Delaware and a 12-shot lead over Xavier.
