TROY, Alabama – Brooke McKee scored the game-winning goal in the 13th minute and Allie Dingle landed her first career goal in the 82nd minute as the Troy soccer team defeated Belmont 2-0 on Friday at the Troy Soccer Complex.
McKee picked up a rebound off the goalkeeper on a shot by Abby Reynolds, dribbled near the penalty spot, then fired a shot into the top corner of the net. It was the sophomore's second goal of the season.
With Belmont pushing forward late, Alex Huynh lofted a free kick into the box that floated over the keeper's head and hit the far upright.
