STATESBORO, Ga. – Will McFadden carded four birdies en route to a 3-under 69 to lead Troy in Friday's opening round of the Schenkel Invitational at the Forest Heights Country Club. The Trojans are tied for 11th place as a team at 10-over par.
Troy started from the 10th tee on Friday and McFadden made the turn at 1-over par after eight straight pars and a bogey on the par-5 18th. He responded in a big way with four birdies on the back nine including a run of three straight on the fifth through seventh holes.
