Josh Thomas is girding himself for what will surely be another round of his teammates’ torment.
Thomas, an Appalachian State defensive back, dealt with it last year when the Mountaineers played in the Camellia Bowl.
This week, with Appalachian State playing at Troy, he said he’ll likely get it again.
“They gave me a bunch of crap last year when we got there, hometown hero and all that stuff,” Thomas said. “I don’t mind. Hopefully, there won’t be as much this time.”
Thomas, the Montgomery Academy graduate, is again headed home to play a football game.
