TROY, Alabama – Senior pitcher Lucas Brown has been named Sun Belt Conference Pitcher of the Week, the Sun Belt conference announced on Monday. This is the final time the award will be given out for the 2016 season.
"This is a great way for him to end his season," head coach Mark Smartt said. "He had an outstanding performance against South Alabama."
Brown picked up the win against No. 23 South Alabama in his last career outing at Riddle-Pace Field on Friday night. He pithed eight innings and struck out eight. The Acworth, Ga.
