TROY — Now that’s a hangover.

Troy, with four extra days to savor its victory at LSU and prepare for Wednesday’s game against South Alabama, may be developing a new tradition.

The Trojans’ 19-8 loss to the Jaguars marks the third time in their Division I-A era that they’ve followed a milestone with disappointment.

"I thought they just beat us," Troy coach Neal Brown said, disputing that the Trojans were still overly enamored with the LSU win.

"I think that's taking away from South Alabama," he said. “They were hungrier than we were. We have an older team and went through this last year.
