TROY, Ala. – Two Trojan student-athletes will be competing on track & field's national stage this weekend. Matthew Likely and Naquita Williams will perform against the sport's best at the 2019 USATF National Championships and Canadian Outdoor Track & Field Championships, respectively.
Williams, a Chateauguay, Quebec native, will compete in the women's hammer throw Saturday in Montréal. The sophomore has a personal best of 58.25m in the event.
"We're excited to have Naquita representing Troy at Canada's national championships," director Marc Davis said. "She's had a busy summer after representing Canada at the North American, Central American and Caribbean Championships in Mexico City earlier this summer.
