Alabama State and Troy are going to the NCAA’s big dance.
The Hornets and Trojans won their conference tournaments Saturday to earn automatic berths in the NCAA Tournament.
ASU dropped Southern 55-51 in Houston to win its second straight SWAC championship, while Troy downed Arkansas-Little Rock 61-60 in dramatic fashion in New Orleans to take its first Sun Belt crown.
Caitlyn Ramirez blocked a driving shot by Monique Townson with 1 second remaining.
"This is a dream come true," Troy coach Chanda Rigby said.
Both teams will find out Monday where they are headed and who they fill face in the NCAA’s first round.
