“I feel like I probably called play-by-play in the heyday of Troy University sports,” he said. “Two football national championship games, two baseball national championship games – where I was blessed enough to watch my son play – and a basketball national championship game that we should have won. That’s pretty sporty.
“Not too many people can say that. I don’t care if your Division I, II, III or NAIA, there ain’t nothing like a championship.”
