TROY, Ala. – For the fourth time in six weeks, Leanna Johnson has been named the Sun Belt Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.
The junior posted a 2-1 week with wins over NC State and ULM. Johnson also earned her second save of the season in the series finale against the Warhawks.
"I am very proud of Leanna for earning this honor," co-interim head coach Holly Ward said. "She has been working very hard in the bullpen, so I am really glad it is paying off for her in the game!
