TROY, Alabama – Middle Tennessee finished the game on a 14-0 run and drove away from Trojan Arena with a 67-64 victory over Troy on Tuesday.
Trailing 64-53 with 3:59 remaining, the Blue Raiders (7-2) made eight free throws and a pair of 3-pointers while holding the Trojans (6-2) scoreless. Troy build its lead on an 8-0 run midway through the quarter, but failed to capitalize on open looks from 3-point range.
Despite winning the rebounding battle, 55-31, Troy hauled in just one board in the final four minutes. Kayla Robinson scored 13 points and pulled in 12 rebounds for her fourth career double-double.
