STARKVILLE, Miss. – Powered by a combined 36 points from Felmas Koranga and Amber Leggett, the Troy Women's Basketball program dropped Mississippi State, 73-66 Saturday afternoon at Humphrey Coliseum.
The victory was Troy's first Power Five win since the 2018-19 season.
Trailing by three heading into the fourth quarter, the Trojans (7-5) used a Koranga jumper to close a 10-4 run. The run gave the Trojans a 62-60 lead with 3:13 left to go.
The bucket proved to be critical, as the Trojans did not relinquish the lead for the remainder of the game.
