TROY, Ala. – Troy freshman running back Kimani Vidal has been named to the Doak Walker Award Watch List, the PwC SMU Athletic Forum announced Wednesday. The award is presented annually to the nation's top running back.
Vidal led the Trojans with 57.3 yards per game and four touchdowns on the ground in 2020. He averaged 3.83 yards after contact, which ranked second nationally among all freshmen running backs and 21st overall.
A Marietta, Ga., native, Vidal forced 0.30 missed tackles per attempt last season, which ranks fourth among all returning running backs nationally.
