TROY, Alabama – Kaylon Geiger, the reigning Sun Belt Conference Newcomer of the Year and one of the top returning receivers in the country, has been named to the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Watch List, the Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce announced Wednesday.
The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award is presented annually to the nation's top offensive player who also exhibits the enduring characteristics that define Earl Campbell. Nominees must have been born in Texas, graduated from a Texas high school or played at a Texas-based junior college or four-year college.
A native of Fort Worth, Texas, Geiger was named the Sun Belt Conference Newcomer of the Year in 2019 after he finished second in the league in receptions, yards (regular season) and yards per game.
