TROY — The Troy Trojans have a starting quarterback, though both of this year’s contenders will see playing time in Saturday’s season opener.
Kaleb Barker will take the first snap against No. 22 Boise State, coach Neal Brown said Monday, though Sawyer Smith won’t be forgotten.
“He (Barker) won the job from a production standpoint, the ability to make plays with his feet and from an efficiency standpoint in the passing game,” Brown said. “I still have a lot of confidence in Sawyer and the team does too, so he will have a significant role in our offense on Saturday.
