Troy, Ala. – Troy men's basketball senior Jordon Varnado has been named the Sun Belt Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday evening.
The Brownsville, Tenn., native's honor marks the first time a Troy player won the weekly award since Alex Hicks took home the accolade on Jan. 15, 2018 of last season. This also marks the third time in Varnado's career that he has earned this award.
Varnado led the Trojans (10-8, 3-3 SBC) to a 1-1 record this past week after averaging 32.
