Incoming freshman offensive lineman Blaine Hudson from Elba and rising senior safety JaQuadrian Lewis are no longer on the Trojans’ roster. Hudson’s decision marks the second Elba Tiger to leave Troy’s program this offseason following quarterback Ramsey Rigby’s decision to transfer to Gardner-Webb.
Hudson was an integral part of the Tigers’ back-to-back trips to the AHSAA Class 2A state finals. Elba won the 2015 state title, and Hudson even scored on a two-point conversion in the game.
Hudson finished runner-up in voting for the Alabama Sports Writers’ Association Class 2A Lineman of the Year voting.
