Former Dale County star Jamarius Henderson has officially joined the Troy football program after transferring from Memphis.
Henderson rushed for a state-record 3,483 yards in his senior season in guiding the Warriors to a Class 3A runner-up finish. He had 48 touchdowns that year.
At Memphis, Henderson rushed for 320 yards and four touchdowns on 60 carries in 10 games for the 9-4 Tigers. He added seven catches for 90 yards and two touchdowns.
In late July, Memphis granted Henderson a release to transfer. Henderson cited a desire to play closer to home and his 3-year-old son Peyton as the main reason for the transfer.
