TROY – It’s time for Troy’s second T-Day under the Neal Brown regime, and nothing eases a coach’s mind more than having an established quarterback at the helm.
So Brown is challenging two-year starter Brandon Silvers to take his game to the next level, and it starts on Saturday in the annual spring game.
“It’s time. He’s a red-shirt junior and it’s time for him,” Brown said of Silvers. “It’s time for him to grow up, and he’s been productive. The thing that he needs to do – he’s had good stats but he’s been up and down through his career so far – and what we need is a level of consistency.
