TROY – If anyone in the Troy football program was more eager than new head coach Chip Lindsey for Tuesday’s opening spring practice, it was Kaleb Barker.
Barker, his surgically repaired knee wrapped tightly in a brace, went through most of the drills during the Trojans’ two-hour-plus workout in helmets. It was impossible not to hear the gratitude in the quarterback’s voice as he talked about being back on the field.
“It feels wonderful. Couldn’t ask for anything else. It’s a very emotional time,” Barker said. “Very thankful for the coaches and players that stood by me in that time.
