BOONE, N.C. – The Trojan offense was on full display once again as Troy made it two wins in a row after beating the Appalachian State Mountaineers 9-2 Friday night, clinching the series from Smith Stadium.
Troy (31-22, 15-14) once again led from the start, scoring three runs in the first two innings of the ball game and three more in the eighth to seal the victory.
(5-3) found himself back in the win column after going 4.2 innings of one-hit baseball allowing only one run. Fuller's only blemish of the night was his four walks which came in the fifth, giving the Mountaineers (18-32, 9-20) their first run of the night.
