TROY, Ala. – More history was made this past weekend at the Crimson Tide Invitational as Troy senior Cheyenne Hayes surpassed the 1,000 career dig mark and became the fifth Trojan in program history to record 1,000 digs and 1,000 kills in her career.
Hayes recorded eight digs in the Trojans matchup against Buffalo on Saturday, giving her 1,004 total digs for her career. Hayes joins Vickie Paciski (1994-97), Erika Vanhootgem (1998-01), Rachel Hassan (2000-03), and Haven Triboulet (2000-03) as the only other Trojans to accomplish the feat.
"Cheyenne continues to solidify herself as one of the very best in Troy Volleyball history, head coach Josh Lauer said.
