TROY, Alabama – Following a record-breaking week, Troy's Hannah Day has been named both the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) and the USA Softball National Player of Week, both organizations announced Tuesday afternoon. Day was named the Sun Belt Player of the Week on Monday.
Day, who becomes the first player in Troy history to earn National Player of the Week honors, hit .812 (13-for-16) with 20 RBIs, six home runs and three doubles over a four-game stretch last week. She slugged 2.125, posted an .842 on-base percentage and scored 12 runs as the Trojans won all four contests to improve to 21-7 on the season.
