STATESBORO, Ga. – Brent Hamm fired a 4-over 148 to lead Troy in Sunday's opening two rounds of the Thomas Sharkey Individual Collegiate at the Georgia Southern University Golf Course.
Hamm shot a 3-over 75 in the opening round before a strong afternoon session where he carded a 1-over 73. He enters Monday's final round in sixth place and just three shots back of a pair tied for third.
The entire 32-player field all played as individuals in what is serving as the opening event to the spring schedule for the Trojans. Will McFadden shot even par in the opening round and was fourth on the leaderboard before slipping into a tie for 11th place following an 8-over 80 in the second round.
