TROY, Ala. – After notching a top-ten finish at the conference meet, Gracie Booher has been dubbed the women's cross country Sun Belt Freshman of the Year, the league office announced on Thursday.
Booher becomes the first Trojan to earn a postseason honor in Troy's D-I history.
"We are so happy for Gracie," head coach Elliott Blount said. "She is a product of hard work and the unwavering support of her family and teammates. Gracie's willingness to earnestly confront the challenges the sport presents athletes is humbling. I imagine anyone that meets Gracie is delighted by her demeanor and senses that she has great things ahead of her.
