STATESBORO, Georgia – Game one of Troy's Sun Belt series at Georgia Southern was suspended in the bottom of the seventh inning due to lightning in the area with Troy leading, 6-1. The game will resume Saturday at 12 p.m. and will be followed by a doubleheader to complete the series.
Troy struck first in the top of the first with two runs off of hits by Madeline Porter and Bailey Taylor.
The Trojans added another pair of runs in the top of the second with hits by Katie Lively, Kelly Horne and Porter.
