TROY, Ala. – A dominant performance from and a two-run sixth inning was all that Troy needed to beat Indiana 2-1 Friday afternoon from Riddle Pace Field.
"Garrett's stuff was lights out tonight," head coach said. "He really ramped it up when he needed to and competed when called upon. Our bullpen played tough, and they competed at the highest level, and I'm really proud of how they stayed the course and finished the game strong."
In his fourth appearance of the season, Gainous (2-1) picked up his second win after going 6.0 innings pitched, allowing two hits, no runs, and two walks while striking out nine Hoosier batters.
