TROY — The Troy football team, both players and coaches, will wear pink ribbons to honor the late wife of their opponent’s coach.
The Trojans plan to accept donations for cancer research in honor of Wendy Anderson, who died last month after a two-year battle with breast cancer.
But they’re aware cancer has affected countless others. There is no telling how many of them will be at Veterans Memorial Stadium on Saturday when the Trojans host Arkansas State.
But at least one will be on Troy’s sideline, with his own new tribute in his best friend’s honor.
